Child Dedication

Child dedication is the act of dedicating children to God for His blessing and for the fulfillment of his plans and purpose for them. It is also a public commitment of the child’s parents to raise their child in the ways of the Lord.

Scripture outlines the dedication of our children to God. In 1 Samuel 1:28, Hannah dedicates Samuel at the Tabernacle in Shiloh and in Luke 2:22, Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the Temple to be dedicated.

In dedicating our children to the Lord we are committing to instructing them in the Christian faith not only in word, but also in deed, through living a daily lifestyle that demonstrates the power of God at work in our own personal lives. This then becomes a pattern they will grow up into imitating and following.

Requirements:

1. Parents are born again believers who confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

2. Parents are members of C3 Palm Springs, and regular attendees of services.

3. Parents commit to instruct their children in the Christian faith and practice (prayer, worship, church attendance, etc.) as outlined in the Bible.

4. Parents commit to living a godly, Christian lifestyle in front of their child(ren).
